This post is very close to my heart.
Cleanliness, which should be our responsibility as a citizen is not so in this selfish world. Cleanliness plays such a big role which we have failed to understand in this generation. But it is still not late to realize what we must do to keep our Earth clean and pure.
It is really painful to see someone spitting on the road. What is even more painful is that they feel doing this is really cool. I mean how can really anyone think of spitting on the same road, for which you have paid your hard earned money to construct the same. It is very similar to someone spitting on your money. If you yourself don't care to keep your road clean why will others even think of it!!!!
I mean to say if you the people who are paying the heavy taxes to construct and keep the roads clean, spit on the road, then how and why are you expecting the people, the labour class people to not spit on the roads for which you have paid those hefty taxes.
Now many people might have got offended because I pointed out the labour class for spitting on the road. But if the next time you are out on the road and just have 5 minutes to spare, then look around yourself and you will get to know why I pointed out the labour class mostly!!! Out of the 10 people who spit on the road, you will see 8 of them are the people who drive autos, vans, rickshaws etc. It is because they are the people who have a habit of spitting now and then while moving on the roads. It is they who uses the streets for most of the hours.
But here lies a certain twist. The next time any of you see these people spit on the road just stop them and give them a short lecture on why they should stop doing this before the whole Earth becomes a garbage. When you do this, you will notice that they will listen to you and follow your advice instantly. Not only this, they will even reply with SORRY.
Now the other one who damages the most by spitting are those high-class people who find it cool to spit that rajnigandha from their luxury cars. Now one of you stop them and try to give them a lecture on cleanliness. Then see their reaction. They will behave as if, you are the one who has committed some crime by trying to stop them.
Now, do you know why I especially pointed this two kinds of extreme classes of people!!!
Look at the funny thing in this. The former class of people are those who are not that learned and did not get the right amount of education and advice which is required. The latter class of people are those who are the pass out of the so-called reputed schools and colleges and considers themselves filled with all the knowledge of the world. But when you interact with both of them, you get to know that the former one shows a much mature and respectable character than the latter one when provided with the right knowledge in the right way.
We have every right to stop every individual throwing even a single piece of paper anywhere other than the dustbin. We not only have to prevent ourselves from throwing waste on the floor but also prevent those who do it carelessly.
It is our country and our Earth. It is we who need to take a step forward for cleaning every bit of land with all our HEART AND SOUL. We are the people who will live on this land forever. So, it is our responsibility to clean the land by every way possible. If we want to live healthily forever on this planet, we must learn to care for it.
This post is written especially for the citizens of my country INDIA on Gandhi Jayanti. When all around we are seeing so much of awareness is being spread regarding cleanliness, then it is worth a worrying factor. When our government is giving all heart out effort for cleaning INDIA, then I guess each one of us should do at least a small bit from our side to be a part of it. At least it will bring a sense of self-satisfaction within you when you become a part of this CLEAN REVOLUTION.
